Ask anybody and I’m sure they will be happy to tell you that network marketing or MLM does not have the best reputation. In fact, a rather large number of people want to throw up when you even bring up the concept of multi level or network marketing. But the biggest question is…. why is that?
I’ve often wondered why so many people have such a hateful response to the network marketing industry, and I actually find it rather amusing. Post a video on Youtube or Revver about multi-level marketing and it’s only a matter of time before someone posts an vehemently negative comment on it. Talk to your family and friends about what you’re doing and you’re bound to see them roll their eyes.
Why are people so negative? What’s really going on? Fear, plain and simple. People always fear what they just don’t understand. They also fear things that are different. For many people working at home, without the guarantee of a steady paycheck is very, very different and that can scare the livin’ daylights out of a lot of people.
People are afraid of getting scammed or getting into an illegal or immoral business that ruthlessly ruins their name. However, the truth is that most companies today are very inexpensive to sign up with.
Part of that is because almost all Multi-Level-Marketing business opportunities can be built online. People don’t need brochures or flip charts as much as they once did, and that means you can start your business for a lot less because you wont have as much in your starter kit.
When you talk about the investment called for to start your MLM network marketing business you’re commonly talking about a few hundred dollars. A good chunk of change sure, but not a immense life altering investment. Certainly nothing like the amount of money it would be to begin your own brick and mortar commercial enterprise which can cost $50,000 or more.
However, it is the start up cost and the incredible lack of knowledge of exactly what Multi-Level-Marketing really is that scares the livin’ daylights out of so many individuals.
It also doesn’t help, that many people know a family member who has been in MLM and couldn’t make a dime. Yet, you should recall that in many cases the reason someone failed in the business isn t necessarily the fault of the business. Sometimes the person who joined the business is to blame because they weren’t willing to do what was necessary for success. A lot of people are looking for wealth without work and that never happens. That might not make people very happy to hear but it’s the truth.
, how can one person join a company and not make any money and another person can join the very same company with the same exact products and become a millionaire? It obviously can’t just be the company.
When all is said and done there are many causes why people might be a little harried or disbelieving about MLM however, when you really break it down there isn t much to be dismayed of at all. MLM works for those who are willing to work for it. The negative connotation might always remain but MLM is helping people make more money, work from home and live a better life, no matter what anyone else believes.
