Ask most people in a MLM business opportunity and they’ll tell people everywhere that they’re on their way to a gargantuan income working from home. However, if your goal is to make 6 figures a year or more, you’re going to have to begin with much lower goals if you ever really want to get there. You’ll need to begin your new business venture with small-scale goals that will lead to monumental results.

Making a quarter of a Million dollars a year working from home is a lot like losing weight. You have to do it one pound at a time. If you’re planning on losing more than 100 lbs. you run the risk of getting totally overwhelmed and giving up halfway. However, if you focus on losing 1 or 2 lbs. a week your goal will seem much more manageable and it will keep you rivetted and driven until you achieve your big goal.

Therefore instead of only thinking about making six figures a year why not focus on making $600 a month. Then once you’ve met that goal, go for $1000 a month and so on and so on until you’ve accomplished the more hefty goal.

It’s also critical to remember that not all goals have to be monetary. A very acceptable goal could be to call 10 people 6 days a week about your new business. Or make 5 new Youtube videos a week. You could also make your goal to recruit 4 new people this month.

When you focus on more modest goals that you can accomplish speedier you’ll get that feeling of gratification that will motivate you to go after larger goals.

So don’t look at your goal as a giant mountain to be climbed. Just wake up every day and take a few strides in the proper direction. It might seem like you’re never going to get there, but if you’re consistent and focused on the more limited goals you’ll arrive at the top in no time!
